A construction company with over 65,000 employees faced significant challenges in managing varied employee CVs, stored in different formats, for diverse internal and external purposes. The manual movement of this data between documents and their internal HR system, SAP SuccessFactors, was time-consuming for HR teams, hindering analytics and reporting capabilities..
HR managers had to manually port employees’ CVs into the corporate CV template and transfer relevant information to SAP SuccessFactors. Depending on the complexity and length of the individual’s CV, this process could take anything from 20 minutes to more than an hour. With 65,000 employees, this process becomes a Herculean task and creates bottlenecks.
The team at jaam automation addressed these challenges by developing a comprehensive Nintex K2 Cloud application. Employees now upload their CVs through this unified platform, integrating a third-party extraction tool, Affinda, to extract and manage relevant data quickly and efficiently. Customisations with embedded PDF viewers enable thorough reviews before seamlessly transferring information to SAP SuccessFactors via K2 Cloud’s out-of-the-box REST broker.
The unified platform engages not only the individual employee to enable them to personally process their own CV, but it allows HR managers to act on behalf of other employees, and even process CVs in bulk by integrating K2 Cloud with Synatic, a data integration and automation platform, allowing for asynchronous processing of CVs – enabling the system to complete the work while stakeholders can attend to other, more complex tasks.
The platform also opens up management analytics and reporting that was previously unavailable, allowing managers and stakeholders to keep track of CV conversions and process efficiency.

A document generation tool used to manage document templates and generate documents dynamically in various formats
An Integration Platform as a Service that handled all ETL transactions between K2 Cloud and all third-party transactions
A cloud storage service that is used to save employee CVs
There were a significant number of positive outcomes and achievements from jaam’s solution for the construction company, one of which was winning in the Customer Excellence category at the Nintex Solution Innovation Awards! The BPM solution provider recognised jaam in this category due to the innovative, AI-powered solution designed and implemented.
Overall, the solution provided:
In terms of time saved, previously HR managers had to do each CV manually, which, in some instances, could take up to an hour. With the new implementation, however, this can be greatly reduced to 33% – 66% less, in some instances taking only 10 minutes to complete in totality.
