Let’s jaam.

For most of my career I’ve worked within independent software vendors providing software platforms that allow organisations to automate aspects of their business from generating documents to full end to end process orchestration – and it’s been a fantastic journey. I’ve worked with some amazing people, met brilliant customers, and been challenged in every aspect to innovate in both process and technology. One of the great joys is being able to trace the journey of a customer from the initial requirements they present to you to then be able to see the full realisation of the solution and, more importantly, the value it adds to their business. It’s a privilege to be involved.

But the more I’ve interacted with customers, the more I’ve felt there is a lack of real practical advice and help out there around technology within the process automation space. I found myself more and more being a sounding board for customers idea and providing guidance around what technology solutions would fit and where they should be applied. And more often than not, we just don’t know where to start with automation. You find yourself staring up this vast mountain in front of you wondering how you will even approach the challenge ahead. And that can be the most difficult part of business transformation – where to start. What problems are we trying to solve? The question we want to answer for our customers at jaam is:

“How do we help you become a more effective organisation – how do we help you become more productive (doing the right things), efficient (doing things with less input), and increase quality (producing a better end product)?”

To make things harder, the process automation space is full of competing voices and technologies. It’s full of salespeople selling their product – and of course that in itself is not a bad thing, that’s where I’ve spent part of my career, but in efforts to sell software the focus on delivering value for the customer can be lost. It’s full of advice that can only be applied in certain situations or to companies with seemingly unlimited funds to fulfill all their wildest dreams.

There are so many people charged with automation in organisations who can often be caught in a situation where they need to solve an immediate problem, ensure long term sustainability, while running on a tight timescale and budget. Where can they turn? Who do they go to for advice? Where can they get support and help in making the right decisions not firstly about what product to go with but more importantly, what type of automation technology is the right one for the job. Once automation in is, and providing value, how do you develop it on it and really drive continuous improvement to make your organisation more effective? I can be a daunting task!

So why did we set up jaam?

Firstly – it’s all about people.

Without the right people, automation is hard. The right skill sets are essential, from those setting the vision to those delivering the solution, if you don’t have the right mix – it becomes hard to achieve success. So, we offer technology advisory and mentoring memberships for automation professionals and businesses that allow them to speak with us, to discuss challenges, run through solution concepts, and have someone who can help them shape and drive the vision of automation within their organisation.

Alongside this, we also provide people placement services. Engaging with the best people to provide all the necessary steps for success within an organisation’s projects and automation programs. Some of the placement services include project delivery, permanent and contract placements of highly skilled resources amongst others.

Secondly – it’s founded on technology.

Technology is at the core of what we do. We love technology and, more importantly, solving problems. Real valuable transformation can only be achieved using the right tools for the right job. What should I use? A robot, a workflow, or both? And that is where our expertise in both our knowledge of automation technology and our deep bench of technology solutions allows us to provide an end-to-end journey for organisations – from idea to automation. We provide Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Workflow, Document Generation and Practical AI solutions.

Lastly – we deliver value.

You can have the right people, the right technology but sometimes we all need a little help with pulling it all together and making use of what you already have. Whether an organisation has already purchased automation technology or are in the process of acquiring it – we can help you deliver on your requirements. Our highly experienced delivery teams can help you do just that. From building robots to project management, mapping process to automating workflows, we can help deliver.

Successful automation never ends. Improvements can always be made. Small incremental improvements over time can lead to significant long term value.

We can’t wait to see what future holds for us and our customers, but one thing is for sure – we have one goal here at jaam: to make organisations more effective by bringing great people and great technology together to turn ideas into automation.
